The grapes were whole-bunch pressed directly to Austrian oak barrels, 30% of which were new. Fermentation occurred spontaneously, followed by a full malolactic fermentation.

Max Allen, Australian Financial Review
"A notable wine for two reasons: the location – a patch of bold red volcanic soil at 900 metres above sea level – and the variety: this is the first vintage made from a white mutation of the red tempranillo grape. Lovely, bold, golden-fruited, with both pulpy richness and a savoury, dry, fish-friendly finish (think grilled flounder and herb butter). Impressive debut."
Mike Bennie, The Wine Front
"It’s a light, washy, crisp white wine. Yet stacks of flavour. Salted lime, like the rim of a margarita, even a touch of piquant herbal character, some gin and tonic notes, touches of cinnamon and clove with some distinct almond notes slipping through. Quite loose knit but holds a textural crunch and freshness. Not quite a neutral variety, but has that seaside drinking appeal. Really like it." 93 / 100
